Benjamin Meader, son of Nathaniel Meader (1749-1802) [0039] and Lucy Ferguson (1759-1822), was born on Nantucket August 28, 1775 and died at James River, Virginia August l, 1821. Sometime between April 21, 1799 and April 25, 1800 he married Susan Bunker, daughter of Simeon Bunker and Mary Swain of Hudson, NY. He was captain of the ship "Governor Griswold" of New York. They lived in Hudson.
